The new Newell Cockpit is a giant leap forward in the evolution of the motorhome driving experience. The Infotainment panel
The newly upgraded 18” Infotainment Panel is the centerpiece of Newell’s advanced cockpit design. Larger, more functional, and more versatile than ever, it consolidates essential driving tools while now integrating house functions into one intuitive, high-resolution touchscreen. Positioned ergonomically within the redesigned dash, it can be operated by touch or by the control knob on the left arm console. Clear, simple icons make it easy to navigate climate control, entertainment, exterior cameras, navigation, leveling, mirror adjustments, and a full suite of house systems. No other motorhome offers a technology platform of this caliber.
Apple Carplay
Building on the seamless integration of technology within the Newell cockpit, the newly integrated Apple CarPlay feature delivers an enhanced level of connectivity and convenience. With full Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, drivers can effortlessly sync their devices to access music, calls, messages, and GPS navigation directly through the dash display. Paired with the GPS-enabled iPad mini at the passenger seat, this system ensures that both driver and passenger can manage routes, entertainment, and communication with ease. For added peace of mind, available dual roof-mounted cameras can be displayed alongside navigation, giving the driver a clear view of overhead clearance points while maintaining uninterrupted access to CarPlay's intuitive interface.
Instrument cluster
With its industry leading 15” display, the Newell Instrument display provides a dynamic, customizable review of the coach’s driving systems. Presented in crystal clear 1024 x 768 retina clarity, the gauges jump off the screen like never before. The instrument cluster allows the driver to monitor and manage a broad range of engine diagnostics, driving preferences, TPMS setup, camera views and more. Customization options allow the user to change background images, color schemes, and information displayed. The graphic scheme incorporates the newest display techniques to make it easier for the driver to locate and experience the information needed when piloting the coach.
Improved Passenger Control
Over and above the incredible improvements to the driver’s cockpit, new and improved controls have been developed for the passenger chair as well. A new full color touchscreen has been deployed for the passenger to have greater control over climate control, music selection, and navigation. Conveniently located on the passenger side of the center console, this new control station is sure to increase the comfort and convenience for those in the passenger seat.
Blending Form and Function
In addition to the eye-catching electronic package in the new dash, the placement and geometry of the overall structure of the dash assembly increases the safety for drivers and passengers alike. Making use of improved line of sight, more ergonomic panel placement, larger buttons, and increased passenger control gives the drivers the ability to spend less time looking away from the road. A tip out storage compartment under the Infotainment screen, and an integrated stainless steel cup holder add smart convenience to the overall design.
Design Refinement
As with any Newell innovation, ensuring the aesthetic direction of the dash matched with the electronic functions were priorities. The new dash conveys the premium feel that Newell owners have come to appreciate. The new design incorporates contemporary lines and smooth material transitions throughout the massive width of the dash. Blending chrome and stainless accents with warm leathers, hand-crafted baseball stitching, and customizable woodgrain trim pieces, the new dash exudes luxurious refinement.
