The Interior

The specification process begins with a phone call with our design team to get a general sense of your vision—including materials, colors, textiles, layout preferences, and more. Based on this initial conversation, our team will curate several material palettes in preparation for your in-person specification meeting. We encourage you to share any inspiration photos—whether from past Newell coaches or your favorite residential spaces—to help guide the creative direction of your coach.

We then schedule 2–4 days at Newell for you to work closely with our team, finalizing your custom floor plan and selecting all interior elements. Our experienced designers have refined this process to make it inspiring, collaborative, and easy to navigate, ensuring you feel confident in each decision you make during this exciting phase.

Paint Design Process

Once the design reaches the paint design phase, an introductory email will be sent with the specifics of your coach in relation to paint; this usually includes entry door location (front or mid), mirror selections, chrome or blackout package preferences, and more. Next, we’ll coordinate a time for either a phone or video call—whichever you prefer—to discuss your vision for the paint design.

For the Artist Series, you’ll select a design from our Design Book and customize the colors to your taste. For the Custom Series, we’ll explore your desired style or feel, preferred colors, and overall complexity, among other details. From there, three unique paint designs will be created based on our discussion and any inspiration images you’ve provided. Once you select a favorite, we’ll refine the design until it’s just right.

Paint colors are then sprayed onto postcard-sized samples for your final approval. This entire process is designed to give you time to gather ideas, see how they take shape in the designs, and review physical samples—ensuring you feel confident as your vision comes to life in full color and dimension.
