Description:

Job Summary:
The Painter Apprentice Program is a 24-month program designed to provide the experience and training to Paint Apprentices to grow them into Full Production Painters. Apprentice Painters will progress through 3 different skill levels based on performance reviews and skills tests.

  • Participate in paint prep duties including sanding, taping, fiberglass repair, etc.

Job Summary:

·        This largely self-directed position is responsible for the production of a majority of the print and electronic drawings for Newell Coach production, service remodels and vendor purchasing needs within the company.  Assists all levels of engineers and project managers with tasks and assignments. This position will also be creating drawings to support sales of new coaches and have some interaction with customers as required.  Qualified candidates should be self-motivated, outgoing and engaging, possessing a high degree of problem-solving skills and adaptability.

Duties:

·        Creation of drawings to support manufacturing including chassis, body, electrical and cabinetry

·        Creation and distribution of coach Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN).

·        Develop and maintain BOM from Coach Order.

·        Creation of detailed specification sheets for purchasing department communication to vendors including, countertop fabrication prints, floor heat mat prints, electrical switch & load lists, widow size and option list, window shade list, patio and window awning size list and furniture options and specifications.

·        Research equipment and vendor components for special options.

·        Work with other engineering resources to create procurement and installation plan for special options.

Job Summary:
The upholstery job at Newell Coach is responsible for creating all upholstered surfaces in the motorcoach. This includes working with the design and engineering team to utilize fabrics, leathers, and other material to cover wood, fiberglass, and metal structures throughout the coach.
 
Job Duties:
  • Using power and hand tools, apply and install batting, foam, poly-filler and cut fabric to wooden framework in the assembly of furniture, wall systems, ceiling boards, and other finished surfaces.
  • Attach finishes, including buttons, trim, tassels and other decorative accessories, to complete work according to build specifications.
  • Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions
  • Read build documents and maintain production status for communication with department supervisors and service advisors.
  • Operate portable hand-sewing equipment, nail guns, hobnail and tack hammers, hot-knife cutters and other industrial equipment
  • Determine fabric inventory and place orders with textile partner; provide status updates about fabric availability to clients and managers
